The Expressions

Made using 100% malted barley produced in Romania, our single malt is distilled, aged and bottled at the Alexandrion Saber 1789 Distillery, located near the Carpathian Mountains.

Our single malt whisky is made through the traditional Scottish method using double distillation with every batch, retained feints & fore shots in our custom-made copper pots.

The malted barley for this inaugural edition was harvested in 2016, distilled in 2017, the first maturation was done in first-fill bourbon barrels then in wine casks. 

The maturation in a warmer climate vs Scotland (+5⁰C on average) might explain the unique, milder character of this superb single malt whisky.

Carpathian Single Malt is made using pure Sub-Carpathian, has a natural colour, is unchill filtered and is bottled at 46% alc.
