CARPATHIAN SINGLE MALT WHISKY -PEATED CASK STRENGH - Alc. 62.2%, 60.9%, 62.2%, 62.7% ABV
Cask No. 2977 filled in February 2019 is Romania’s 1st peated single malt whisky. Matured in select bourbon barrels and bottled at 62.2% abv. Malted barley sourced from our malting partners in Belgium who use only the best Scottish peat to impart a phenol level of around 35ppm which after distillation leaves a nice barbecued smoky flavour with hints of roasted peaches whilst retaining the caramel sweetness that a good peated whisky deserves. Hot chilli’s and spice leave a long lingering intense finish.

Romania’s 1st peated single malt whisky has matured for four years in select bourbon casks. Lightly peated it will appeal to those entering peated whisky but will also appeal to the lovers of peated whisky. The malted barley is sourced from our partners in Belgium smoked with the best Scottish peat imparting a phenol content of 35ppm which leaves a nice smoky flavour whilst retaining the sweetness that a good whisky deserves.
